Emergency Escape Breathing Device (EEBD) is a life-saving device that is used to escape from hazardous environments where there are fires, smoke, toxic gases, and other hazards. As the name suggests, the device allows people to quickly escape from hazardous environments, which means that it has a separate compressed air bottle for escaping contaminated environments. Like most other breathing devices, the EEBD has an audible alarm that indicates that the available air has run out within about 10 or 15 minutes of use,giving the wearer time to evacuate from the hazardous environment. It is important to note that the EEBD is not a firefighting device and can only help an individual escape to a safe environment. Under no circumstances should it be used to extinguish a fire or evacuate casualties.
